CSD board approves hiring of three new firefighters for Galt
Keith Grueneberg retired as the fire chief of the Elk Grove Community Services District (CSD) Fire Department last summer. He had a short break.
Grueneberg was elected to the CSD board last month, and CSD General Manager Donna Hansen swore in him and incumbent Director Elaine Wright during the CSD’s Dec. 5 meeting.
The Dec. 5 meeting made history for having a Galt representative advising the CSD board on Galt fire service matters. The recent creation of the Cosumnes CSD that merged the Elk Grove and Galt fire departments led to that change.
